How to make power battery charge and discharge test?

For the knowledge of power battery charge and discharge test, if we understand it clearly, we will not get the battery charge and discharge test equipment and can not start. In general, the main direction of power battery charge and discharge test is to discharge the power battery under different states, and then draw a conclusion to verify the quality of the power battery.

Power battery charge and discharge testing :

There are several basic discharge modes for the charge and discharge test of power batteries, which are constant discharge, constant power discharge, constant resistance discharge, continuous discharge, intermittent discharge and pulse discharge. We can test them under these modes, and the test methods are explained separately for everyone:

Constant discharge:

in the constant discharge, we first set the current value, and then by adjusting to achieve this current value, through this method to achieve the constant discharge mode of the battery, at the same time, we also want to collect the voltage change data at both ends of the battery, used to detect the discharge characteristics of the battery. When carrying out constant discharge, it shows that the discharge current is unchanged, but the voltage of the battery continues to drop. We should pay attention to the change of the data and whether it meets the standard.

Constant power discharge:

for constant power discharge, we first set the power value of the battery, and then the output voltage of the battery also needs to be collected. During the whole discharge process, the power value is required to be constant, but the output voltage of the battery is constantly changing, so we can calculate.

Constant resistance discharge:

constant resistance discharge also needs to set a constant resistance value and the output voltage of the battery. During the whole discharge process, the constant resistance value is required, but the output voltage of the battery is constantly changing.

Continuous discharge, intermittent discharge and pulse discharge:

the typical experimental method is that when the battery is discharged in these three modes, we use the timing function to achieve the control purpose of continuous discharge, intermittent discharge and pulse discharge.

These are the main core points of power battery charge and discharge test. We understand and are familiar with the relevant content, and then it is more convenient to carry out battery testing through battery test equipment such as: FTG high power programmable DC power supply, FTP programmable DC power supply
